Participation Council Europaschool

Parents can take a seat in the Parent Component of the Participation Council (MR).

The essence of participation is that, through the MR, parents and staff can share their voices regarding the school's policies. The law requires the school (management) to seek advice or consent from the MR in certain cases before making decisions. This applies, for example, to the school plan and the staffing plan. In some cases, consent or advice is required from the entire MR, while in others it is only necessary from the parent or staff component. The school management provides the MR with timely information so that they can adequately prepare for their tasks. The MR can also take the initiative to develop plans for issues it deems important. The MR or one of its components can discuss all matters concerning the school with the management, make proposals on these subjects, and express its stance on them.

You can follow the activities of the MR by attending meetings and reading the minutes on the MR bulletin board in the hallway or on the website. It is helpful to contact the secretary or chairperson in advance if you wish to attend a meeting. For further questions, you can reach out to any of the members. The composition and members of the MR can be found on the school's website under the section: participation. The MR consists of three parents and three teachers.
