Citizenship

The concept of "citizenship" forms the foundation of our vision: where many cultures come together to create one community, both consciously and unconsciously, we work towards the development of individuals who can navigate a complex and multicultural society. To that end, we aim to guide students in such a way that they learn to feel responsible for their own actions and understand how to positively influence their environment.

Attention is structurally given to the following matters:

  • Through the Da Vinci themes, historical and current social issues are discussed, and students are challenged to develop and take positions on these topics.
  • The composition of the school's population naturally leads to the recognition of differences and provides a highly educational environment for exploring and developing one's own opinion while being open to the opinions of others.
  • Lessons in foreign languages naturally emphasize cultural aspects and make students aware of their own cultural identity as well as the existence of others.
  • By actively focusing on the social pedagogical climate, our core values are repeatedly and consciously articulated: We are responsible for our environment and that of others, we work together to ensure safety, and we have respect for one another. There are weekly lessons in which this is discussed.
