Profile Europaschool

The Europaschool is a medium-sized and growing primary school in Amsterdam-Zuid. Since its founding in 1992, an international orientation has been central to its mission. In addition to the standard primary school curriculum, students at the Europaschool receive lessons in another European language and culture: English, Spanish, or French starting from the age of four. This makes the Europaschool a unique educational institution.

For mathematics and Dutch language instruction, the Europaschool uses modern teaching methods. All other subjects are taught using the Da Vinci method, which presents lessons in a thematic cycle and encourages students to explore and discover answers to their questions independently.

The Europaschool has a highly diverse student population. Parents come from countries all over the world, and at least 60% of students have at least one parent who is not a native Dutch speaker. The school community represents no fewer than 44 nationalities, which account for 43% of our student body. Most parents choose the Europaschool for its unique concept and international character rather than its proximity to their home. While some students live in the direct vicinity of the school, a significant portion comes from further away.
